Sea trials will continue throughout the week at the Valencia Boat Show
- New boats being showcased at the Valencia Boat Show will sail along Valencia's coast until Sunday 6th November.
- Clipper Marine, the new distributor for Bavaria in Spain, confirms new office in Valencia.
The Valencia Boat Show, which opened on Monday, has been full of visitors coming to see first-hand the latest developments in the marine industry at the Marina Real Juan Carlos I. Yesterday, which was bank holiday in Spain, visitors came from all parts of the Valencia region, Murcia, Andalusia and Catalonia, according to the exhibitors, who were extremely happy with how the first two days have gone, both in terms of the great turnout (more than 3,000 visitors yesterday), and the interest they’ve had from the public.
Thanks to the great turnout and interest in sea trials the organisation have decided to extend boat testing until Sunday, so that those thinking of purchasing a boat still have several days to arrange an appointment with the boat builder’s representative.

Meeting with international press
Early yesterday morning, the president of the boat show, Fernando Jiménez, met with members of specialist and international press. Seven journalists from media publications such as the Swiss newspapers, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Tages Anzeiger and marina.ch, the British publication International Boating Industry and the Portuguese newspaper, Púbico, as well as several national nautical press. Jiménez explained the Boat Show’s idea to act as the last boat show on the mediterranean circuit, which begins with Cannes, and continues with Genoa and Barcelona. Valencia is the last stop on the tour, and also offers visitors the benefit of being able to test the boats on the water before buying, which along with the good weather, competitive prices and excellent infrastructure, makes it very attractive for visitors.
Clipper Marine to open an office in Valencia
Clipper Marine, the official distributor of Bavaria Yachts and Motorboats in Spain and the UK, announced yesterday afternoon that they will open a new office in Valencia in the coming weeks. The new office for the British distributor will feature a permanent collection of new and used Bavaria yachts. The company will also offer an exclusive service for exchanging used yachts for a new Bavaria, as a kind of boat “scrappage scheme”, along with the possibility to include funding and insurance. Clipper Marine will feature this at two exclusive venues, one in Mallorca and another in Valencia, as well as distributors in Catalonia, Alicante and Cadiz. At the Valencia Boat Show yesterday, the German boat builder’s representatives confirmed their expansion plan and commitment to Valencia as a key market, which has been confirmed by the great interest they’ve had on the first days of the event.
During the announcement, Matthew Attree, sales manager of Clipper Marine, commented that “given the quality of visits we’ve had these last two days, it’s clear that there is a lot of potential in this area for sales of Bavaria yachts, both new and used and we are looking forward to adding this new office to our network in Spain”.
Luca Meffle, head of business development for Bavaria Yachtbau, Marian Scheer, regional sales director of Bavaria Yachtbau, and the directors of Clipper Marine, Richard Hewett and Matthew Attree were also present for the announcement.
