"LA LOUISE" in icecube machine
Greenland 2011 29 August 2011
Locmariaquer (FRA). Back from a 2 weeks report in Greenland onboard french schooner "La Louise", skipper Thierry Dubois. For my first time ever in Ice, I have been very lucky.
Fantastic country!
We started by a photo shoot in Ilulissat Glacier (UNESCO World Heritage since 2004). Located on the west coast of Greenland, 250 km north of the Arctic Circle, Greenland?s Ilulissat Icefjord (40,240 ha) is the biggest ice machine in North hemisphere.
A bit more than 15 days around Disko ilsand, from Ilulissat (69° 13 N - 51° 05 W) up to Imartuneq (70°42 N - 54°40 O) and back. From glaciers to colourfull villages, nature is always incredible. Really a place to discover!
