COMANCHE DUE TO FINISH TRANSATLANTIC RECORD ATTEMPT ON THURSDAY
Record pace sees latest Comanche ETA at 12:00 UTC on July 28
Comanche, the record-breaking 100ft yacht owned by Jim Clark and Kristy Hinze-Clark, looks set to conclude their transatlantic record bid at Lizard Point (UK) on Thursday July 28. The latest ETA puts the Supermaxi at the finish point around 12 PM UTC (1 PM BST), which would see the experienced crew secure another major ocean record.
Shortly after the finish, quotes from the boat, Ken Read and owner Jim Clark will be distributed along with latest photos.
Video footage will be made available on Friday July 29.

Comanche is a 100ft Supermaxi. Built by Hodgden Yachts in the USA, Comanche has been built by Jim & Kristy Clark to try to break Open Ocean Race records.
The current Transatlantic Record was set in 2003 by Mari Cha IV, making the crossing in 6 days, 17 hours, 52 minutes, at an average speed above 19 knots.
Comanche currently holds the 24 hour distance record for a monohull at 618.01nm, at an average speed of 25.75 knots.
