Transat Jaques Vabre 2009 Le Havre - Costa Rica - www.jacques-vabre.com - Übersicht Sturmvideo 14.11.2009 Photo Advisory BT Yacht Rescue Pictures [ 14 November 2009 ] The BT yacht as seen from a Portuguese Air Force plane, drifting in heavy seas minutes before Sébastien and Jean-François, Ellen MacArthur teammates have been rescued by helicopter transfer from the water. Conditions on the zone were very difficult with 8-metre waves and more than 40 knots of wind . The rescue operation was very tricky but Sébastien and Jeff have been airlifted to safety thanks to the Portuguese Air Force's professionalism and are now on their way back to France. Recovery operations for the BT yacht are underway.
