* OFFICIAL TJV PRESS CONFERENCE IN PARIS THIS EVENING..
TEAM COWES skippers Nick Moloney and Sam Davies join the other 80 offshore skippers to be presented to the media: "I think it's always revealing to go to an evening like tonight... The realistic guys are pretty upfront - no one has an easy build up to this kind of race."

* OPEN 60 TEAM COWES CONTINUE OFFSHORE TRAINING PROGRAMME...after the 1,000 mile qualifier last month, Moloney and Davies went offshore again for further training and preparation for the 4,340 mile race starting on 1st November... "We had 30 knots wind speed, 25 knots boat speed and did 211 miles in 11 hours with 2 reefs in mainsail and the solent - just awesome stuff."


* TJV ENTRIES NOW STAND AT 41...two more entries announce they are unable to compete including Yves Parlier and the mixed team of Luc Coquelin and Chantal Foligné in the Open 50' monohull class...

* THIRTY-THREE BOATS HAVE NOW QUALIFIED FOR TJV including Ellen MacArthur and Alain Gautier on Foncia who completed their qualification this week... The remaining 8 boats have until 24 October to complete qualifier...
