Karnevalstimmung auf der Brasil 1
From: BRASIL 1 LEG FOUR DAY 6
Hello.
We are entering our sixth day at sea, 200 miles from the Ice Gate and
sailing with light winds for two days. Everyone knows that this is not
what we usually get around here so we’re preparing for strong winds ahead.
In 20 hours we will get downwind sailing with up to 55 knots of wind.
Everything will change. Some crewmembers are already scared.
As some of you know, Carnival is beginning in Brazil and this will be a
great way to start our celebrations. We will be jumping all night long and
drinking lots of spray. The only problem is that it will be made of
freezing salt water. We organized two carnival blocks onboard: “Hold on
cause it’s jumping” and “Get dressed cause its cold”.
Kitchen has been calm these last days. But the number of rats looking for
chocolates and noodles increased. I’m already thinking about sewing the
food bags.
