* Crossing the edge of the HIGH PRESSURE zone brings calm weather until acceleration to the EQUATOR
* Time for routine inspections, indextenance and reflections of the tour so far .... A tough ATLANTIC decent, horrible INDIAN OCEAN, easy PACIFIC, awesome SOUTHERN OCEAN and as always a breath taking CAPE HORN
* Have you ever seen the JULES VERNE TROPHY ? " it's the coolest looking trophy I have ever seen, I was incredibly inspired and that is when I laid 3 life goals in front of myself, we are a long way down track towards completing my second life goal"

LATEST LOGBOOK FROM NICK

We are out of the ridge and are on our bike. Currently sailing under full index and Yankee reacher, boatspeed between 23-27kts.
weather warming every hour. Its fantastic to be heading fast in the right direction. Our course is slightly west of north as we are too far East to attack the doldrums. Aiming to be slightly further than 25west but will monitor convection as the distance continues to close.
Hopefully we will shread some distance in the next 3-4 days.
during the change from the Med Gennaker to Reacher I copped a few waves in nothing but my thermals so now am wet and salty..
its daylight..a new day. At this speed it really feels like there arnt many more left. The chart tells another story.
