LATEST LOGBOOK FROM NICK
Progress has been PAINFULLY slow. We have not closed any serious distance on
the finish for nearly a day....this is Brutal.
Patience...if I hear that word again...aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh.
oh, hang on the B&G that is permanently fixed on Latitude display has just
clicked over to 7degrees north.....now that makes us feel better.
Its very, very summery here right now. clear skys, light winds, the smell of
the sea and sunscreen. With not alot going on it reminds me of
home...hanging out at Sailboard headquaters in Sandringham waiting for the
afternoon sea breeze to set up for a great windsurfing session at Ricketts
Point. last night was pretty cool as well as we now have a bright full moon
casting natural light on our decks. It was a little weird....it got quite
cold at around 3am and we all pulled on our mid layer for a few hours.
Yves is still laminating around mast step but is very relieved that the sea
has decreased and we have stopped slamming.
not much else going on actually
40 degrees of latitude still to sail......which is better than 10 minutes
ago.
