ORANGE II: ON HER WAY JUST BEFORE MIDNIGHT!
The maxi-catamaran ORANGE II, which has been on stand-by in New York since 10th August, set sail last night just before midnight on her attempt at the North Atlantic team crossing record. At 6 a.m. this morning, the boat was situated under Rhode Island and was advancing in an easterly direction at 28 knots on a bearing of 80°. They had covered 174 miles during the first 6 hours of sailing, at an average speed of 29 knots.
