TNS SPORT OFFICIAL PARTNER TO THE TRANSAT...
and sponsor of the TRANSAT MEDIA AWARD
The aim of 'The TNS Sport Transat 2004 Media Award' is to encourage the PR teams of the skippers to work with The Transat team to create a high quality information resource for the media and general public alike.
With this aim in mind the award will be presented to the PR team that is considered to have uploaded a regular, high-level of content to their dedicated Skipper Console on the official Transat website for the period of the race. The Skipper Consoles have been created to provide a dynamic zone that the PR teams of the competing boats can pro-actively update with content including written, audio and images.
'The TNS Sport Transat 2004 Media Award' will be judged by a panel comprising Bruno Lalande (Director, TNS Sport, France), Alain Echegut (Journalist, Les Echos), Chris Barnes (head of Research, SportBusiness Group) and Mark Turner (CEO, Offshore Challenges Events). The judging panel will be looking to measure the Skipper Console content based on the overall usefulness of the content as a resource - defined by frequency, relevance and quality of the information provided.
OCE is delighted to announce that this award will be sponsored by TNS Sport - the world's leading sports research company (monitoring media coverage, evaluation and provide an evaluation report). In this capacity, TNS SPORT have provided expert advice in the creation and management of this information resource and will add their expertise to the panel of judges.
'The TNS Sport Transat 2004 Media Award' will be presented at the Official Prizegiving on 17th June in the Boston Harbor Hotel. The winning PR team will be awarded a special edition trophy and free subscription to the TNS French Tools Sport Track monitoring service (including all sports editorials on French TV and radio) for one year.
TNS Sport are also the Official Media Evaluation Partner to The Transat and, in particular, were chosen as a partner because of their many years of experience tracking sailing events both globally and in France. In addition, TNS Sport will also be providing a final summary report and valuation of coverage for The Transat 2004 in both UK and France.
