TRANSAT 3D RACE VIEWER NOW READY TO DOWNLOAD
Created by Voyager 2020, you can now download a dynamic 3D race viewer
package and watch The Transat race unfold before your eyes.
You can watch the whole race from the start - controlling world view and
camera angle. You can select one boat to see all its race data and track on
the race course. You can see live weather information and see how the
weather has influenced the evolution of the race so far.
Go to http://www.thetransat.com and click on the 3D VIEWER button for
instructions on how to download the 3D package. (English version only)
ALSO TRANSAT ON EUROSPORT
This Wednesday (June 9th) Eurosport will be broadcasting a feature on the
TRANSAT on the race so far produced by APP Broadcast. It will be shown within
Eurosport's SAILING WORLD programme at 21:15 GMT.
Technical Info for 3D Viewer download:
If you get a 3dxdll error message you will need to check your drivers are
latest direct X 9.0b. See installation on the website for how to do this.
If you have difficulty getting the latest position data when you press the
update button please close and reopen the viewer.
Position reports are published every 2 hours starting at 0500 GMT until 1700
GMT.
