Clipper fleet arrive at Singapore Festival Village
The Clipper fleet was on the move on Friday afternoon as the ten yachts made their way in formation to the spectacular Singapore Festival Village at Sentosa Cove where local Singaporeans will get a chance to be involved with the Clipper 05-06 Race.
A weekend of activities and events open to the public are now underway, including sailing trials, talks by Clipper Race Chairman and renowned solo yachtsman Sir Robin Knox-Johnston and a 5-a-side football challenge.

On Friday evening Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Singapore's Minister for Community, Youth and Sports, officially declared the Festival Village open after sailing out into Singapore Harbour on Uniquely Singapore.
All the boats moored up alongside the vast array Festival Village tents, ahead of a magnificent crew party featuring local dancing and music.
The crews were treated to a Chinese New Year feast including a traditional Yu Sheng salmon salad mixed ceremoniously in latex rubber gloves by an appointed 'table head' following step by step instructions from the host.
After dinner the crew of Uniquely Singapore led the toasts in front of the other nine crews and enjoyed a bagpipe performance from the Glasgow Clipper crew.
Massage and cold drinks are available in the Festival Village and will probably be in demand throughout the day as crews recover from last night's festivities
