Now the majority of the Clipper race team has now arrived in Qingdao, here is brief programme to outline the Qingdao Stopover.
Sunday 2nd April
ESTIMATED ARRIVAL DATE
Race finish in index channel off the Olympic Harbour
Dockside Reception for each yacht on arrival
Fire works at night; Olympic Mascot welcome
Monday 3rd April
Estimated that all Yachts will have arrived
Tuesday 4th April
PRESS OPEN DAY & PRIZE-GIVING CEREMONY
1830 - 2100 PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY & WELCOME BANQUET AT SHANGRI-LA HOTEL BANQUETING HALL (1st Floor)
Note: All crew requested to attend. Dress: Team clothing.
Qingdao Crew in Traditional Chinese Clothes
2200 - Late (/early) RED STAR ‘ON ON’ at La LUNA Open to all - Cash bar
Wednesday 5th April
1000 1600 OPEN DAY FOR GUESTS
Invited guests visit and tour Qingdao Clipper in Olympic Yacht Harbour

Thursday 6th April
B & Q (Ellen MacArthur) arrives in Olympic Harbour
Friday 7th April

1700 MASS CREW BRIEF. All Crew in the Media Centre
Saturday 8th April
1000 - 1030 CLIPPER YACHTS DEPART FROM OLYMPIC HARBOUR
1030 B & Q DEPARTS FROM OLMPIC HARBOUR
1100 - 1130 CLIPPER YACHTS CEREMONIAL SAIL PAST
1200 RACE START
