Clippers open their hatches to public at North Cove
The Clipper Fleet, currently berthed in Manhattan's North Cove, is open to the public on Sunday afternoon giving New Yorkers a chance to see what it is like aboard one of the ten 68-foot racing yachts. Between 2pm-6pm members of the public can take a tour of one of the yachts and find out more about signing up to take part in the next race that will start in September 2007. The New York Police Department will be having a look around the yachts tomorrow afternoon, and later in the day the New York media will be going sailing aboard New York Clipper with Skipper Joff Bailey.
