As we try and overcome some teething problems with the VELUX 5 OCEANS leaderboard, so the latest positions show some dramatic changes at the front of the fleet, less than a day into the leg.
While Bernard Stamm and Cheminees Poujoulat continue to lead and will later this evening start their turn around the northwest corner of Spain, since this morning Japan's Kojiro Shiraishi on Spirit of Yukoh has moved up from fourth to second place. The reason for this is almost certainly a case of survival of the fittest or the least damaged.
