SIX RECORD BREAKERS IN SAFE HARBOR…RAVUSSIN RESCUED AFTER CAPsize
Thomas Coville (Sodeb’O), Michel Desjoyaux (Géant) and Franck Cammas (Groupama 2) are the three next ORMA trimarans – to reach Pointe à Pitre, still in advance of the record set in 1998 by Laurent Bourgon. Yvan Bourgon (Brossard) should cross the line in the afternoon (Tuesday - France). Steve Ravussin (Orange Project) is safe and sound onboard “Okhta Bridge” after setting off his SARSAT distress beacon at 00h28 (french time).
