One last effort for man and boat
Cheminées Poujoulat is now heading straight for the finish line of the Transat Ecover B to B, and should be safely in port tonight after Gitana Eighty, Groupe Bel and Foncia, which have already crossed the line, and Generali and Safran which are still racing. The last 24 hours of this transatlantic return from Brazil have been no kinder to Bernard Stamm than to his boat. It's cold, it's brutal, it's a breaking sea and it's upwind all the way… the Swiss skipper is counting the hours.
