Delta Lloyd Completes Leg 3 of Volvo Ocean Race
Delta Lloyd completed Leg 3 of the Volvo Ocean Race on Christmas Eve, having crossed the finish line in eighth place after a 1,950 nautical mile passage filled with disappointment. The team broke a vital part of their keel mechanism after leaving Cochin, India, and ended the leg with engine failure just 20 minutes after dropping the sails, under a tropical downpour.
