D-3 days, LiveSkipper and LiveSailing get aboard the KRYS OCEAN RACE
Gamers get ready, the countdown is on!
Just as in real life, around the dock in North Cove Marina where
the crews of Race For Water, FONCIA, Groupe Edmond de Rothschild
, Spindrift racing Musandam-Oman Sail prepare to race across the
Atlantic on the KRYS OCEAN RACE from New York to Brest, so now
is the time to prepare for the VIRTUAL KRYS OCEAN RACE.&xnbsp; Get
ready to take on your virtual rivals across the Atlantic on
equal terms
The start of the VIRTUAL KRYS OCEAN RACE will be set at 17:00hrs
French time on Saturday 7th July at the same time as the start
gun will go in New York to the set the five MOD70's off on their
race to Brest.
The virtual race is a collaboration between between Multi One
Design SA which is in charge of the organisation of the Multi
One Championship and the company BeTomorrow which specialises in
the creation and development of innovative applications for the
web, mobile apps, and for TV;&xnbsp; their virtual games and
applications reaching a huge, passionate global audience.
It is a sailing race for the digital and social networked age.
With the VIRTUAL KRYS OCEAN RACE, a LiveSkipper game, you get
right to the heart of the race course against the actual
positions of the competing skippers using the actual real time
weather. From New York City to Brest you can build and deliver
your own strategy, skippering your own MOD70 to try and be first
to finish victorious into the heart of the Tonnerres de Brest.

With the LiveSailing mobile application and technology, and
thanks to GPS sensors, the MOD70's positions can be followed in
real time using the on course tracking or rendered in 3D so you
can always follow the race, as it happens in real time on TV,
iPhone, iPad, smartphones and Android tablets.
