Media invitation on behalf of SAMSA
Dear friends,
The South African Maritime Safety Authority invites the media to a joint programme with the Lawhill Maritime School whose students will take part in exciting activities at the Volvo Ocean race at the V&A Waterfront on November 8, Saturday.
SAMSA is a proud sponsor to the Lawhill Maritime Centre for selected students, enabling them to follow the maritime courses, and to enter careers that formerly were unknown to them.
Students will have an opportunity to interact with the all women Team SCA, and six students will have an opportunity to experience the Try Sailing programme. The other students will also visit the race village and enjoy a tugboat ride.
Media are invited to witness and capture this developmental story.
Profiles of the six students taking part in the Try Sailing can be accessed through this link.
