Abu Dhabi will be the host for the third In-port Race of the 2014-15 edition series.
Below you will find a complete schedule for the day, including the instructions to board the media boats if you have previously reserved a spot.
If you are not going out on the water, you're welcome to join us in the Media Centre to watch the racing live.

On the morning of the In-Port Race, please visit the media centre before 11:30 to check-in and receive your pass for the media boat if you have previously registered.
You will need to have your accreditation with you at all times. If you have a confirmed spot and can’t make it, please cancel your reservation before 10am with an email to press@volvooceanrace.com.
If you don't have a confirmed spot, you will be added to the waiting list and empty seats will be allocated from 11:30 if any.
Please remember to bring adequate clothes and shoes, consider the temperature and how wet can get out on the water, the decks of the boats may also be slippery. Also, please remember to bring protection for any equipment you will be taking out on the water.
SCHEDULE AND MEDIA BOAT PROCEDURE FOR ABU DHABI IN-PORT RACE ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 2, 2014
09:00 – 11:30 - Media boat check-in media centre
If you have a confirmed spot on the media boat, you can check-in and pick up your pass from 09:00am to 11:30. You will need to show your accreditation pass. If you haven’t checked in by 11:30, your spot will be offered to another person. Failing to communicate absence will mean removal from the media boat list for leg start day.
11:30 – Start of the parade and cultural performances
Parade of Skippers and Crew to the Volvo Ocean 65 dock, then the yachts will depart one by one to their team songs.
There will be a media zone to view and capture the ceremony in front of the dock.
12:45 - Media boat embarkation
All media going out on media boats are asked to reconvene in the Media Centre. Media are asked to be ready no later than 12:50 as a timely departure is essential. Please note that the media boats will not wait so please be on time to avoid disappointment.
13:00 - All media boats departed
14:00 – Abu Dhabi In-port Race
The Race will start at 14:00 but there will be a warning signal at 13:50.
15:15 approx – Media boats return to Race Village.
15:30 approx – Volvo Ocean 65s return to dock and ceremony starts
There will be media zones for the press to view and capture the return in front of the dock.
The teams will arrive in reverse winning order and will be escorted shortly after to the prizegiving stage.
There will be time for media interviews for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place right before the prizegiving starts (to guarantee the interview, please contact the team representative in advance).
The In-port race prize giving will include a moment for a team group picture before the sparkling grape juice is opened.
