How to follow the start tomorrow, 19th September

·The boats will leave Port Rhu from 07:45 to 10:00 and will be on stand-by on the Treboul harbour from 08:00 to 12:00 ·Start of the Mini Transat Îles de Guadeloupe 2015 at 15:30 in front of the Rosmeur dyke ·Helicopter TV footage and pictures available for media

The start of a transatlantic race is always an important moment one when you have lots of emotions. It is where everything changes gear for the sailors; they leave their friends, family and set off to live their dream. They will be alone with just the VHF for companionship and impromptu sightings on the trip to Lanzarote over the course of the first stage. Summary of the key times for 19th of September.
The boats will the dock in Port Rhu from 07:45 to 10:00 The boats will leave the dock in Port Rhu from 07:45 until 10:00. There will be a live comentary to preset each skipper on their way out.

Stand-by at Tréboul (from 08:00 - 12:00)
The skippers will gather in Tréboul harbour. There will be a barbecue offered by the organisers from 11:00 before the boats leave the dock. The boats will be towed out to the start line from 12:00 onwards.

Follow the start on the water Start with LIVE commentary on the Rosmeur dyke given by Michel Desjoyeaux and Jean-Luc Van Heede. Start at 15:30 (French time) - please find attached the course start area map outlining no go areas.

Follow on TV and race website
Follow the start LIVE on FRANCE O from 15:00 to 16:30. Michel Desjoyeaux and Jean-Luc Van Den Heede will provide commentary of the start. Watch from 14:00 the Minimania documentary by Nicolas Raynaud.
Wathc the race start LIVE from 15:00 on the race website: www.minitransat-ilesdeguadeloupe.fr The webcam on the pointe du Raz lighthouse will show the fleet approach the raz de Sein (some three to four hours after the start).
The first to reach the Raz de Sein course mark will get the Guadeloupe Islands Chamber of Commerce prize.
The first report and last rankings of the day will be available at 20:00.
