The Transat came to an end last weekend
and now they are preparing for the new transatlantic race, the New York - Vendée (Les Sables d'Olonne), which starts on 29th May. No fewer than seventeen IMOCA 60s, the Vendée Globe monohulls, will be lining up together at the foot of the Statue of Liberty for this new competition, which is a real warm-up for the Vendée Globe.
Some Vendée Globe skippers are not competing in these transatlantic races and are already qualified for the Vendée Globe. That is the case for Bertrand de Broc and Louis Burton, who tell us about their campaigns this week. We met up with two sailors, who have planned to prepare for the Everest of the seas in a different way from the others.
