While some are getting over the excitement of the New York – Vendée race,

some are working ashore, while others are once again at sea. For some, the final busy summer before the eighth Vendée Globe involves getting their Imoca into the yard for a final check-up before the start, while for others it is an opportunity to clock up the miles or compete in some of the summer events.
The sailor from the Mediterranean, Kito de Pavant took part this week in the classic Giraglia Race starting in St Tropez, while Thomas Ruyant, Arnaud Boissières and Alan Roura will be lining up on Sunday at the start of the SNSM Record between Saint-Nazaire and Sainte-Marine.

As for the Hungarian sailor, Nandor Fa, who was unable to compete in the transatlantic race, he is due to set off shortly to carry out his qualifying sail. Meanwhile, the Swiss sailor, Alan Roura, who will probably be the youngest competitor in the next Vendée Globe, answered some of our questions. You can see for yourself how enthusiastic he is.
