FOUR MONTHS TO GO
With summer finally arriving, there are now just four months to go to the start of the Vendée Globe. Some skippers are continuing their preparation, while others are fulfilling their final sailing requirements. That is the case for the Hungarian sailor, Nandor Fa, who is about to set sail from Newport to sail alone across the Atlantic back to Vendée.
Romain Attanasio has found partners and is now certain of taking part. As for Alan Roura, he is busy sailing and fine-tuning his monohull. He will be the sole representative from Switzerland, a country which since 1992 has regularly been involved in the Vendée Globe, as we explain in this week’s magazine article.
