Follow the 8th Vendée Globe press conference this Wednesday
The press conference to present the 8th Vendée Globe will be taking place at 10.30 a.m. CET (0830hrs UTC) this Wednesday at the French Stock Exchange (Palais Brongniart) in Paris. The 29 skippers, who will be setting sail on 6th November from Les Sables d'Olonne will all be attending to present their projects to the crowds of French and foreign journalists that are expected. This final press conference in Paris before the big day will be an opportunity for fans of the Vendée Globe to discover all the new features, as announcements are made.

Live on Internet and Facebook LIVE
This is a first for the Vendée Globe. An event traditionally reserved for the media will be shared with the general public. The press conference on Wednesday morning will be using a multi-camera set-up to allow live coverage of the event in English (as well as in French) on the official Vendée Globe website (www.vendeeglobe.org/en/), the Dailymotion channel and Facebook LIVE. You will be able to find out all about the arrangements, which are gradually being put in place by the organisers. You will be able to listen to the 29 skippers attending and experience for yourself the atmosphere of this major press conference.

At the same time as being broadcast on the website and the Vendée Globe Facebook page, the various social media used by the event (Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Périscope) will, each in their own particular style, offer live coverage, but also an opportunity to share the highlights of this press conference: unseen pictures, backstage views, live photos, videos of the skippers, live extracts...
On Wednesday morning you will be able to watch the preparations being put in place for this press conference, the arrival of the skippers and their briefing, the photo sessions, the set up for the live coverage, guests and all those involved...
