Jérémie Beyou - Incidences Sails excellent results made of teamwork
With his Figaro Beneteau Maître CoQ equipped with Incidences sails made of D4 membrane produced at Incidences Technologies, Jérémie Beyou won yesterday the 2014th edition of the Solitaire du Figaro - Eric Bompard Cashmere, becoming thereby triple winner of the event. Particularly invested in design and manufacturing of his sails with Ronan Floch (Incidences Brest), Jérémie is one of those skippers constantly looking for performance and optimization. After a long work and many discussions with the designer and Stéphane Fauve (Incidences Technologies), the skipper is today delighted with the work achieved and its outstanding results.
A pleasure shared by the sail maker, which sees with satisfaction that 6 months after the start of D4 production, sailors have already access to a high performance membrane.
A relationship based on exchanges between a skipper and his sail maker.
They have known each other and have been working together for the last 10 years. Jérémie Beyou and Ronan Floch (designer at Incidences Brest) share the same passion for performance and optimization. "Ronan is a competitor, he listens to skippers’ needs. As a plus, he knows the Figaro world really well and is very present. We sail a lot together and Ronan participated in various trainings this winter, « Jérémie explains.» As usual, we worked on the sails’s shapes, but thanks to Incidences Technologies, we have also been able to integrate this year additional concepts, such as the weight and the amount of composite used by tuning the fiber layout. I got what I asked for! With Ronan, Christophe Cudennec and Stéphane Fauve, we found a good reliability and performance compromise ".
On his side, Ronan did not hide his satisfaction when Jérémie crossed first the finish line in the final leg in Cherbourg. "This is a great team work! Jérémie is a skipper always seeking optimization and we did a good job on his sails. He made smart choices, looking for a consistent product. It allows him to be very serene about his sails and therefore in the way he sails ".
