Video Advisory: Extreme Sailing Series™ 2015, Programme Six, Saint Petersburg
The Extreme Sailing Series™ Act 6, Saint Petersburg presented by SAP from the 20 – 23 August, delivered a spectacular sight for spectators as the eight strong fleet of Extreme 40s engaged in thrilling close combat racing on the River Neva in the heart of the city.
With strong tides and light winds, it was a game of Russian roulette for the teams that kept tacticians constantly on their toes. Series heavyweights The Wave, Muscat triumphed after 30 races, mastering the fickle racecourse to claim their fourth Act title this season.
A career-best-result for Lino Sonego Team Italia saw the team break through from mid-fleet to claim second, with Red Bull Sailing Team finishing third.
