Video advisory: The 2016 Extreme Sailing Series™ gets off to a flying start in Muscat, Oman
The 2016 Extreme Sailing Series™ season began last week as the eight teams of elite-level sailors, from 15 nations, took to the water in their brand new hydro-foiling GC32 catamarans to fight it out for the title of champion of Act 1, Muscat. The battle was intense and saw the home team, Oman Air, take an extraordinary victory, winning over 50% of the races, an unprecedented feat.
With seven Acts left on the global tour, and plenty of skills for the fleet to perfect as the year goes on, the 2016 Series looks set to go from strength to strength. The Extreme Sailing Series has released two new videos that show a snapshot of the exhilarating action in Muscat, as we look forward to the next stop in China, 29 April-2 May. Extreme Sailing Series Act 1 – Highlights
