Synopsis
Sailing Arabia the Tour is now in its seventh year. This year, seventy two sailors on eight teams, descended on the city of Muscat for the start of the 5 leg tour which will see the fleet start with a tour of the Omani coast from Muscat, to Sohar and on to Khasab. The Tour then sails on to Abu Dhabi, Doha and concludes against the stunning backdrop of Dubai. This year sees the return of big teams and familiar faces including Last years winners EFG Bank Monaco, skippered by French sailor Thierry Douillard.
In Part one of three, the EFG Sailing Arabia – The Tour Documentary takes you behind the scenes of the seventh edition of the race. In part one we get to know some of the teams taking part in this years race. From Olympians and Offshore sailing legends to teams of amateur sailors. The fleet sets off on Leg one into 18knot winds, and if the first stage is anything to go by, the rest of the tour is sure to be intense.
