From 21:30 onwards around 1 200 guests began arriving at the America's Cup Match Party in Valencia's landmark former tobacco trade building. Over 100 photo and TV media have been accredited to capture shots at the entrance of the party which has some of the most famous names in the world of international sport, business, fashion and society in attendance. At the entrance guests will have come upon two corridors, one yellow and the other blue that represent the flags flown by the two boats competing in the America's Cup Match as they go into the starting box and some of the guests will have met with some of the more prominent media for interviews and photo shoots. An elegant reception area will receive the guests displaying two models of the Defending boat Alinghi, and the Challenger, Emirates Team New Zealand, on either side of the America's Cup trophy which will stand over the party until the end of the evening. One of the highlights of the evening is the Yamakasi show; a group of young Frenchmen who are internationally considered as the "Samurais of the 21st Century"; a breathtaking show involving acrobatics between the buildings within the tobacco trading plant.
