The Longtze Premier at Sailing's Mecca
For the first time since it arrived in Europe in 2008, the Longtze Premier is going to race on the other side of the channel. And not just anywhere, as it is at the mecca of the sailing world, during the legendary Cowes Week, that this ?dragon?s son? is going to set sail in England, under the expert eye of the British sailors.
For two years, the Longtze has been carving up the European waters and is stunning on all levels: its performances, its look, quality of its equipment, its ease of handling and especially, the pleasure it gives its crew, enthusing all who have tried it.
'Easy' and 'Sport' boat at the same time
Designed by Steve Thompson, the ?Godfather? of sportboats, the Longtze Premier is above all a boat that is accessible to all. But being stable and seaworthy doesn?t detract from quality of design, performance and sheer sensation. The Longtze Premier is proof of this, as was noted immediately by the first journalists who tested it??A complete blast in terms of sensation and precision !? Course au large, June 2008.
?A high-performance racing Monohull which is easy to handle thanks to its great equilibrium under sail? Bateaux, August 2008.
?Fast, precise, fun, the Longtze Premier is a sportboat developed by the ex-Franco- Chinese team for the America?s Cup. Pure pleasure? You would think you were on big fun and lively centre-board yacht, it is forgiving of any errors due to its deep keel which you can lift up with a small winch to transport it by road.? Voiles et Voiliers ? July 2008
Accessible High-Tech
Over and above its technical performance, the Longtze Premier is offered at a very attractive price : 32 253E HT, complete, delivered anywhere in Europe. A characteristic picked up by the nautical press, ?In addition to its ease of handling on the water, the ?dragon?s son? has a sledgehammer argument: its price!? Course au Large, June 2008.
?For a very affordable budget, the Longtze gives you access to state-of-the-art technology?, Bateaux, August 2008
In a period of economic crisis, this major asset has not escaped the investors.
A circuit promoting increased growth
At last, thanks to the ?Longtze European Tour? (a circuit of 5 events on different European waters), launched in 2009 by the creators of the Longtze Premier, the owners of these ?Dragon?s sons? have been able to immediately put their sportboat to the test.
Developing both the boat and its circuit simultaneously was a first in the history of sportboats and a strong priority for the Longtze Premier design team. Buying into a Longtze Premier means also investing in a competitive season of racing and considerable media attention.
For two years, this new genre of sportboat has attracted sailors from very diverse horizons, and the Longtze European Tour is regularly the scene of some fierce yet convivial racing.
In 2010, the Longtze Premier has equally become the reference boat for the student races : The Longtze Student Cup, with about fifteen universities involved, has from its very first year, met with very promising success.
The Longtze around the Isle of Wight
In one week, this sportboat, the fruit of a Asiatic and European collaboration (the masts and a part of the hull pieces are made in England), will unveil its assets under the expert eye of the British sailors for the first time.
?We are very happy to meet the English, who are experts when it comes to skiffs and sportboats?and, moreover due to its New-Zealand design, the Longtze Premier is part Anglo-Saxon!? points out the Class President Xavier de Lesquen.
About ten Longtze Premiers are expected for the race around the Isle of Wight, a historical course which gave birth to the America?s Cup?a sort of pilgrimage for the Longtze Class which was initiated and realised by the America?s Cup crew Le Defi!

Innovative, high tech, powerful, the Longtze Premier is also a keelboat which is easy to handle. Safe and sure, it gives you the most exhilarating gliding sensations from the very first touch. All those who have sailed her have been instantly seduced! On the water, the Longtze?s silhouette distinguishes her immediately from the other sailboats. Interest and attention are instantly attracted?a considerable asset for any investor.
The Longtze Premier is much more than a high tech sportboat and a sailor: it is the whole package. To purchase a Longtze Premier is to invest in a complete sporting and media season. It is to buy into an extraordinary communication tool of outstanding value.
