2010 TORNADO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP - JULY 22nd - 28th - TRAVEMUENDE, GERMANY
The program for the event has been released! It is looking hot!! Check
it out.
www.travemuender-woche.net will soon be publishing the Notice of Race and
information on accommodation. Please watch theirs and the ITA webpage from
time to time.
MAN ROLAND is the index sponsor and the organizers are promising a lot of
action which includes motorboats for spectators and media, excellent toilets
and showers facilities, free internet, video and photo DVD for each Tornado
team attending the event. Not to be missed!
And once you are there take the opportunity and sail in the TRAVE RIVER RACE
that will happen on July 30th. A race full of action and excitement that
will take place on a small river meters away from all the spectators. The
course is up and down the river with an extra offshore leg that will take
you into the Lubeck Bay. Pure adrenaline as you show to the big crowd and
onshore commentators what Tornado can do!!
But please remember that you and your crew need to be a member of the ITA to
be able to register for the Worlds. If you are in doubt about your 2010

ONE DESIGN SAILS BALLOT
Thank you for your vote! Lots of sailors voted but only paid members votes
could be counted in. If you were one of them, your vote definitely made a
difference!
The Ballot is being independently audited as required and that takes some
time. As soon as the results come out we will let you know. It is looking
very good though!! Please bear with us.

GLENN ASHBY (AUS) CHATS TO US ABOUT AMERICA'S CUP ON MULTIHULLS, FUTURE FOR
OLYMPIC MULITHILLS, SAILING PLANS AND TORNADOS
Glenn Ashby (AUS) had a chat to us about America's Cup on Multihulls, future
for Olympic Multihulls, sailing plans and Tornados. Glenn, the 2008 Olympic
Tornado silver medalist with Darren Bundock, was the head coach of the BMW
Oracle team, winner of the 33rd America's Cup. A great and must read!

German Tornado Grand Prix - June 23rd - 27th, Lindau Island, Bavaria,Germany

SPEEDSAILING ARENA CONCEPT
Great idea and concept that will surely lead to a successful formula. On
Tornados of course!!
In summary VISUALIZE: short sprint races in a properly and especially chosen
arena as close as possible to public areas. Exciting venues around the
world. 8 to 10 minutes long races and 20 or more races per day. Media
cameras strategically positioned, live Web TV. 4 to 6 supplied Tornados.
Open for Men, Women and Mixed Teams. You just need to fly in and sail. No
hassles with shipping, towing trailers. A win-win situation for all
involved.
And in order to go ahead more Tornados are needed. Any kind, anywhere. If
you would like to sell or charter your very old, just old or new Tornado and
