5th Half Ton Classics Cup welcomes new title sponsor South Boats from Cowes
The Half Ton Class Europe and the local Cowes based organizing committee under the
banner of the RCYC are please to announce that local company South Boats have agreed
to be the title sponsor of the 5th Half Ton Classics Cup.
South Boats build definitive work boats for the offshore wind industry. South Boats
is based at Cowes on the Isle of Wight, with production and operations taking place
over four sites and is one of the largest boat builders in the UK with over 150
skilled workers and a turnover in excess of £20m.
After four consecutive events supported by Ecover, who decided to change their way
of support, the halftonners indextain their course towards an environmentally better
future.
The 5th Half Ton Classics Cup is to take place from 22 to 26 August and will be
hosted by the RCYC. The regatta is open to all former IOR half ton racing yachts,
and promises to be the largest event ever in the history of the halftonners.
