Notice of Race Published And Online Entry Live
Torbole, Italy - 15 May 2012 - The Notice of Race has been published and Online Entry is now open for the
2012 Melges 24 World Championship, to be hosted by Circolo Vela Torbole, Lake Garda, Italy from 27 July to 4 August.
With an entry of over 100 boats anticipated, including teams from across Europe
and as far afield as Russia, the USA, Chile, Japan and Australia, the championship
is set to be one of the highlights of the 2012 sailing calendar.

As always the fleet will include a host of Olympic, America's Cup, World, Continental and National Champions
so the standard of sailing will be as high as ever and competition will be fierce.
Circolo Vela Torbole's reputation for outstanding regatta management is second to
none and the International Melges 24 Class is looking forward to returning once
again to this much loved venue. With its strong winds, hot sunshine, outstanding
shore side facilities and spectacular mountain backdrop, Torbole is amongst the
most highly regarded sailing venues on the planet and the Melges 24 fleet is anticipating
a truly memorable championship.
The event schedule is as follows:-
Friday 27 July - Registration Opens
Saturday 28 July - Registration, practice races and Gala Opening Ceremony with dinner
and fireworks
Sunday 29 July - Registration, practice races and skipper's briefing
Monday 30 July - Saturday 4 August - Championship racing with daily post racing
Pasta Parties and a Gala Prize Giving Ceremony and Party on Saturday 4 August.

The closing date for entries is 15th June 2012. Late entries will be accepted after
this date but a 50% late entry fee surcharge will apply.
