The Extreme Sailing Series™ has passed the halfway stage of the 2013 annual global Stadium Racing tour and having delivered racing in the Middle East, Asia and Europe, the eight formidable Extreme 40s are back for the second consecutive year in Cardiff, Wales for the only UK stopover.
The intensity in the Extreme 40 playground couldn’t be fiercer as 2013 Series rivals Alinghi and The Wave, Muscat are tied on points ahead of today’s final showdown having locked horns all year. But the Swiss and Omani teams have to watch their backs, with SAP Extreme Sailing Team and Red Bull Sailing Team waiting in the wings to pounce.

British and Irish Lions captain Sam Warburton and Welsh international rugby union player and winger for Cardiff Blues Alex Cuthbert trade in the rugby pitch for another type of stadium at the Extreme Sailing Series in Cardiff with the local boys on Team Wales Land Rover!
We went aboard with them as they got stuck into the Extreme Sailing Series scrum and got their thoughts back on dry land.
