Sail-World's Cruising World newsletter
==============================================================
Life's tough in Paradise - this week we're in Prickly Bay, on the south coast of the most southerly island in the Windwards - Grenada.
In such a hedonistic Mecca, it was nice to learn this week that Yachties make better lovers - and it's backed up with a serious survey!... which is a bit hedonistic in itself - what WILL they think of examining next?
It was also nice to learn that New Zealand's richest man is not ALWAYS thinking about the next dollar; that a CRUISING boat has just broken the Taipei to Hong Kong record; and that Marine Architects are again going to THINK about the future design of cruising yachts.
The 'European Yachts of the Year 2006-7' have been announced at the Dusseldorf Boat Show, with Beneteau getting a special mention. This week we feature yachts from two of the winners, Elan and X-Yachts.
Over the next few months you will be able to follow the story of Sailaway IV, a Lagoon 500 on its way from Bordeaux in France to Port Douglas in Australia - read our first instalment this week!
Tony Bullimore seems to have gotten stuck in Hobart - we ask when is he going to get going, and there's also a story about another rudderless yacht which had to be scuttled in the Atlantic when tall ship Tenacious went to their rescue.
As for us on Blackwattle in the Windward Islands, there's yours truly with an audio report now that we're leaving these lovely islands, we see a STAR in Bequia, and Tobago Cays lives up to its reputation - see the pictures!
Read on, have a great week, and
Sail safe!

Blackwattle in Bequia, WE SEE A STAR!
The wind is always there and always from the east, and the island string we follow runs north south for a never ending beam reach... the showers come in small passing squalls that freshen the days full of sunshine... the anchorages are all westward facing so there are no lee shores... the water is clear aqua in the anchorages and plenty of firm sand to anchor in... is this why they call the Caribbean heaven?...

Sail-World's Blackwattle in Tobago Cays:
For Blackwattle in her long journey there have been a couple of outstanding tropical destinations - First there was remote Cocos Keeling in the Indian Ocean - memories of coral snorkelling, palm trees and blissful days and nights. Then there was the Red Sea, the Sudan - with its great desert gulfs of tinted sands, the wild colours of the waving coral and slithering fish. ... and now, now, there's Tobago Cays....
