Hi Dr.Krumnacker,
Sail-World.com Newsletter.... The latest News - UK, Europe, World incorporating Sailweb

A holiday edition of the UK Sail-World.com/uk Newsletter. With Monday a holiday in the UK many events will be adding the extra day to their events but there has been plenty to report over the past week.
The stunning performance of Skandia Team GBR at the final 2008 Olympic pre-event seems to have put the British team organisation into a split between crowing over the success and worrying about peaking too early. The Qingdao venue lived up to its reputation for a lack of consistant sailing breeze making the British success level all the more praise worthy.
The Games authorities continue to issue glowing reports about the facilities and organisation, carefully skirting round the actual sailing conditions in a sort of - It'll be all right on the night - scenario. If the brits can repeat this sort of performance despite the conditions I guess they will not be complaining!
On the championships scene, the RS 200 and 400 Nationals have been in full swing and the International 14 class has just completed their 75th POW week, held this year at the Royal Yacht Squadron, Cowes. The Greenhalgh brothers, Rob and Pete, turned-up to win the POW and Ian Pinnell and Ian Mitchell won the week.
Also championships for the Melges 24, Farr 40 and TP52 events and never forgetting the America's Cup latest news.
Plenty of Skiff action in the UK and Australia recently so take a look at some great images, with more to come.
If your events are not reaching the Sail-World.com pages then make sure your event PR team have our address - ukmedia@sail-world.com - to get UK and world-wide exposure every day.
