Hello again to you all,
Since my last email to you to inform you of Francis Joyon's W/E transatlantic fabulous record attempt, the Frenchman has successfully stripped nearly a day off the previous record (though technically Bourgnon was on a smaller boat).
Unfortunately he very sadly ran aground on the way home from the Lizard after falling asleep at the helm. His boat, a 'joint partner' in this affair is in pieces up the coast from me in Brittany...his sponsors Idec are just happy Francis is safe and wish to continue their sponsorship.
