Nauticofilm.com: Nautic's first digital challenge
Nautic, the Salon Nautique de Paris, is launching a big digital film competition on line: Nauticofilm.com. The competition is divided into four distinct categories: humour, sport, adventure, and beauty. The summer holidays will provide ideal subject matter for participating in the competition. Winners will receive exceptional prizes that only Nautic can offer: a stay aboard the polar expedition boat Tara; a cruise aboard Eric Tabarly's Pen Duick; a Leica camera, and other extraordinary gifts.

Why is a show launching itself into a project like this? Because today the show is developing its publicity campaign based on the new media, online press, and community networks. With its annual 300,000 visitors, Nautic, the Salon Nautique de Paris, naturally depends on a keen and committed community. The link binding them to the show makes it possible today to develop perennial contact tools, prolonged throughout the year by exchanges and meetings. Nauticofilm.com is the first initiative in this strategy, a participatory site, online since 22 July of this year.
THE COMPETITION IN FOUR STEPS
1 - Films are submitted on line from 22 July to 30 September.
2 - The 10 best films are selected per category.
3 – A participatory vote is held from 1 October to 1 December. The first 500 voters are invited to the show for a day.
4 – An award ceremony is held during the show, which runs from 5 – 14 December.
