Weather update for the start of the race
Philippe Jeantot has just told the skippers and medias: "At today’s date(Friday 3rd
November, 11h00)we are still going to give the start as
planned. For Sunday mid-day, MeteoFrance forecast 25 to 30
knots of wind from West/South-West.
But more important than the wind will be the state of the sea. Conditions must
absolutely reindex safe". The organisator has also added that
if the weather conditions were the same as announced this
morning, the inshore course would be cancelled in order to
avoid any incident - for the skippers as well as for the
spectators. The skippers will then head offshore and to the
bay of Biscay.
Tomorrow, saturday 4th, another weather update will be given
at 12h00 by Richard Silvani from Meteofrance, after the
traditionnal skippers briefing . We will keep you informed on
the evolution.
