Oryx Quest Trophy
The Oryx Quest Trophy, standing at an overall height of 56 cms, is in sterling silver and silver gilt with diamonds, the finest lapis lazuli, Mother of Pearl and enamel.

The base of the plinth is in sterling silver and has been stylised with a wave pattern denoting the name of the trophy whilst allowing space for the names and dates of the winners to be engraved. The blue lapis lazuli of the plinth represents the sea and the Mother of Pearl represents the waves; together they are signifying Qatar's close history with pearling. The top of the plinth is silver gilt which rises from the lapis lazuli signifying how the golden desert of Qatar rises from the sea.

The body of the trophy symbolically shows how sail and compass are used to navigate around the globe before finishing in Qatar. The body is four sculptured and stylised sail forms supporting a compass collar. The collar is sectioned with eight points of a compass. Between each of the compass points, maroon enamel and sterling silver represent the National Flag of Qatar. The globe is engraved sterling silver showing the land and sea; the State of Qatar is set with a diamond. A second collar in silver gilt surrounds the globe and is ornamented with a traditional arabic pattern.

The finial is a diamond set, sterling silver symbol of the pole star, surrounded by a hoop of silver gilt.
